No, else mine is broken because it doesn't do that.

That's a possible alternative. :-)

It's by far the best Viewmaster built viewer I've used.

However, for not all that much more in price (depending where one gets
one's Model 'D' from) is the $200 Duke's viewer version-2 which is a far
far far far nicer viewer than the viewmaster Model-'D' one.  Optically
anyway.

Grain doesn't seem to be a problem with projection like it is
with viewers (that I've noticed). Think the grain gets fuzzed 
and/or dim'ed out.  :-)

Well, I'm neither female, terribly young (other than at heart), redhead
or single.  But I do love stereo and Cadillacs.  My first car (in '73)
was a '69 Cadillac.  It's 375 H.P. engine got better milage than
yours, mine was the last year before they crippled it for air polution
reasons.  Got rid of it just a few years ago.   :-(
