P3D Full-Frame Nishika
I did up a full-frame Nishika a few years ago as well. Not sure how Sam
did his, but the converted Nishika I did was actually VERY involved and
involved shifting over and remounting a portion of the shutterboard.
Like Sam, I found that the stock lenses weren't worth much so I didn't
actually USE the camera more than once just for fun. The closely spaced
wide-angle lenses make for some fun mildly distorted shots though.
It's actually easier to convert a Nimslo to full frame. Chopping out
the frames is the hard part. After that it's just a matter of cutting
and crazy gluing the shutter blades into new positions.
It's not immediatly possible to replace the Nishika lenses with Nimslo
lenses either. They are mounted quite differently so that the Nimslo
lenses won't be focussed correctly. (I think they end up focusing at
about 15" or something). Might be worth mounting Nimslo's to see if it
would make a decent full-frame macro camera though.
