Dr. T replies to my latest post re. my slides currently for sale:

Reduce the magnification?! But then the model is so small and far away!
Certainly for those who purchase to enjoy the slides in my 2x2x2 viewer.
Although I do not prefer cropping my images, I have been forced to do so
for 90% of the PSA exhibitions I've entered - so it can be done, and
award-winning results are still possible. Some, though not many, views are
not hurt by said cropping to Realist format. Most views can be cropped
without undue loss of value. A few views cannot be cropped under any
circumstance, without a significant (I might say total) loss of value.
But those decisions might best be left to the buyer (For instance, look at
the Polaroid scan of Henry:

She's the next to last thumbnail image. For the thumbnail, I've cropped
the top off the image. But look at the big picture (click on thumbnail).
Maybe you would prefer to cut off the bottom? I would hate to have to
decide that for you.
I invite anyone interested in the great "2x2x2 vs. American Realist format
debate" to order a set and 2x2x2 viewer from me. Order onesies or twosies
for immediate shipment, or order a set with the advance discount, for
shipment in July. If you are not pleased with the slides, send them back
and I will refund your money. Naturally, I do prefer to have you view them
in a 50mm f.l. 2x2x2 viewer, as my slides are produced to view
orthoscopically in such a viewer. (I'll even refund the money on slides
you've remounted to Realist format, as long as the film is otherwise
undamaged. I'm sure I can sell the images in Realist format! That's what
this thread is all about!)
