Okay all, I'm looking for any and all suggestions to the following
project. I want to make VM reels for my kids. I have a Kodak Stereo
camera which takes GREAT 3D photos.

 Now, the page http://www.rollanet.org/~vbeydler/van/vmformat.htm says
that the Branson MO reels were made using a Kodak Stereo so I'm assuming
that the negatives were either reshot/reduced to VM size or that they
 were trimmed to VM size.>>

Virtually all commercial reels are mastered on larger formats and printed down
to the reel image.

In the past, I have made reels from pairs from standard stereo cameras by
carefully splitting the reel, then taping the oversize chips over the
apertures, adjusting for window etc exactly as if I was using larger
apertures, then trimming away the excess film. When all seven pairs have been
mounted, I re-laminate the reel together using a suitable contact adhesive.

The results are somewhat "telephoto", but it's a great way to salvage chips
where the subject was too far away...
