P3D Re: twin cable release
Hi,
I lugged my Realist Custom, and two Olympus OM-G's and two 28mm, 50mm
and 75-150 zoom lenses 10+ miles up into the Enchantment lakes
wilderness, outside of Leavenworth Washington. I had my new Bogen
tripod and Reel-3D twin camera bar, and Olympus twin cable release.
I had a bear of a time getting the OM-Geeze to sync correctly. I would
have them adjusted, and then I would position the plunger in a slightly
different place, then it would be out of sync. I have to admit that the
Realist sure was handy compared to that.
I am glad I didn't sell the Realist Custom first. It takes great
pictures, and is already synced for flash too.
One thing I have yet to try is to make a hinged dual shutter release
holder that will keep the release in the same relative positon each
time.
/o\ This is looking down at the cameras. The S is the
/o\ / \ plunger and the C's are the cable release of each
/ \ / \ camera. The o's are hinges.

/ S \ plunger will be above the level of the camera cable
C--o--o---o---C releases, and will be supported and hang upside down.
I'll give it a try when I have time (HA) and let you know how it works
out.
