P3D lascr

I did a bit of searching around tonight for info on light
activited scr(s) to use in slave flash units. I checked dejanews,
altavista, yahoo, digikey, mouser, and newark. No hits!

They must not be made anymore (at least under that name). It occurred
to me that one perhaps might be able to use the receiver part of an
optoisolator (especially if it has scr output). I seem to recall that
Radio Shack at one time had separate packages for opto transmitters and
recievers.

The only reference I found to an lascr is in the strobe construction,
repair, and circuit document which can be found at the following
