I searched for an hour and a half tonight, and found only one other
circuit.  It is certainly not a two-component simple circuit as requested,
but I found several references to it.  It may be a better, more
professional circuit, but a bit more complex than I was hoping for.  The

I am intrigued by the idea of having four or five of these slave strobes on
hand.  You could make some neat photos that way. I'll keep an eye out for a
simpler circuit.
