If you don't get too grossed out, ... I bolted a hotshoe adapter to the
top of a viewmaster flash and routed the adapter's little cable into
the back and soldered it internal. This gave me a cheap viewmaster
electronic flash adapter that also holds the flash quite high for
reduced redeye. Works great with those Vivitar 292 flashes I've spoken
about previously. Not an "elegant" solution, but fast, cheap, and works
great.

P.S. - It was an already damaged flash adapter (which made it cheaper to
acquire to begin with) before I REALLY "damaged" it. It still
has it's working rangefinder though. :-)
