How about "glue"?  I've got a stick of purple glue (dries clear)
called "UHU stic".  It's kind of like an overgrown lipstick 
dispenser except it has non-toxic smell-free purple glue (that comforms
to ASTM D 4236 whatever that is).

I think we used something similar to this stuff in stereocard
mounting class.  Certainly easy to use if one keeps it off
of one's fingers.  And it's cheap.  :-)
