I was thinking to post a similiar question but wasn't sure
where would be appropriate. Thanks for taking the lead! ;-)

Me too!

Gee, I thought I was the only one with that problem. I have a Tseng
4000 video card also and in the advanced mode in Win3.1 (yes I still
use it at home). I am not sure if your having the same problem as
I have but my problem is in the advanced mode the image is all squished
and their only recommendation is to expand the image using the monitor
controls, which is not an elegant solution! Nevertheless that can only
expands it a very limited amount.

Another solution that I used with my Simuleyes glasses and works
with the VR Surfer is to set your video card resolution to
1024x768. This forces it into interlace mode (with my Tseng
card) and it works pretty well except that images are now small
and dim on my monitor.

On their web page they do mention that using that their driver is
problematic with a Tseng video card. I'm not sure if they are
refering to my problem!?! See
     http://www.vrex.com/surferhelp/Known_Pr.htm
for a list of video cards and possible incompatibilities.

On a maybe more postive note, another company offers a driver that
supports more drivers and is compatible with VR Surfer and a host
of other LCS glasses that use the video port. The only downside
is that the driver/software is not free. I haven't tried it but
I am thinking of ordering it if I don't get this to work in advanced
mode with the VREX supplied drivers. Kinda ironic. The site with
the driver/software is at,
     http://www.i-art.com.tw/info/win.htm

On a slightly different note, I was happy to read that VREX has a
free utility (Force 3D) so that interlace DOS games that don't
directly support the VR Surfer now can. Check out,

Interesting, at least I don't feel so bad now! ;-) Seriously even
though I (and others) weren't too successful in the advanced mode
I was quite happy that it also comes with adapters for simple
and inexpensive connections to a VCR. Watching the sample 3-D
video on my television was great! It's much cheaper buying the
VR Surfer and using it for watching 3-D movies by 3rd party
video tape suppliers.

Good idea and it crossed my mind to chuck the ole Tseng for a more
compatible card.

P.S. Anyone know of any good LCS type 3-D movies? And sources?
I can't find 3D-TV (on the web anymore), but never cared for
the quality of the 3-D John Wayne movie that came with the
3D-TV glasses I once got to see from a fellow list member (Wlad!).

P.P.S All this talk about LCS glasses makes me wonder, where's Larry!?!
