Andrea...and all,
I have been usimng Scala for about three years now...and I must say that
my heart was broken when I discovered strange vertical lines appearing
in some of my images...after projecting them...even with a Brackett
Dissolver..which runs very cool....around the high 80'degree range at
the most.
I would be very curious to getto the bottom of the problem because its
no consistent at all...some images get there knife thin bright whoite
lines ...or cracks where the llight comes through when examining in a
viewer.
Two years ago...I showed my images at a camera show to the Scala
folks...and they were very taken by SCAL in stereo...they stopped by my
booth..and I met Ron Delahunty (East Coast retail sales mgr) of
Bayer/Agfa...who I told about the problem...and he said he wanted to
know more about it. I just dug up his card and the number in Ridgefield
Park New Jersey that he suggested I call HIM at is 1-800-517-2432 x8414.
I would not suggest a rain of complaints to Ron...but maybe on the
list...some of you could agree on one person to make a call and mention
the problem..and that his card was given by him to me....about this
problem...I would be ok on the reference...as it may get you through the
wyriads of beauracracy at AGFA ...or not!
I would pursue this after reading your posting Andrea.,..but I am
cramming with finishing tasks right up until I leave for NSA...and I
will have llllots of Scala images to show ( I lllovvvve shooting it!) in
a variety of the highest quality viweing, mounting and projecting
systems offered yet to the 3D world (ALTHOUGH THE BOYS IN THE MILITARY
PROBABLY HAVE "STUFF" we onlly dream of!)...see them at NSA.
