Congratulations I discoverd the the shorting  of the two central pins
method for getting a "B' setting on a Nimslo for myself some time ago .Also
that it will work with one of the pins and the hot shoe surround, although
I cannot recall what I was doing to find this out. I never got round to
devising a device like yours though to do it easily I just used foil held
in place by the  flash unit SWITCHED OFF , I did think as you did of
modifying a flash adaptor  but could not find one for two pins. One thing
though do you mean the protection tab from a video rather than audio
cassette, a video cassette tab would seem about the right size for the hot
shoe an audio cassette to small.    P.J.Homer
