P3D VM and kids

The issue is not that simple. How old are the kids? How big are the kids?
These two questions just lead to this one: What is their interocular
spacing? What is the interocular spacing of the viewer? What is the size
of the lenses?

Answer these questions and then I will tell you if it is possible to be
seeing stereo. The MF viewer mentioned has much larger lenses (in
diameter) than the VM viewers. Yes, kids' eyes are flexible. But the
laws of physics say that they cannot be seeing stereo if one of their
eyes cannot reach the viewer's lens.

I too remember beeing impressed by the sense of depth I was seeing in
a VM reel when I was a kid. I don't remember how old I was.

Today parents buy VM reels to kids 3-4 years old. I do not expect these
kids to be seeing stereo. Some adults have problems too.

What is the infinity spacing of a VM image? What is the distance between
the lenses in a standard viewer? The answers must be close to 65 mm.
If I were to design a system for kids today, I would keep this under 60.
Possibly under 55 mm.
