P3D "Stereo First"

It isn't often that you get a chance to participate in a "stereo first"
The window of opportunity is wide open right now as the International
Stereoscopic Union (ISU) Stereo Card Circuit was launched this week.
This is the first stereo card activity within the ISU and we are looking
for more members for this circuit. ISU membership is a requirement and
several people have joined the ISU in order to be able to participate in
the Stereo Card Circuit
. With the exception of the North America-Germany Stereo Card Circuit
(now in it's 2d year) and the short lived American-Polish Stereo Card
Circuit, this is the first serious attempt at a really "international"
stereo card circuit since the early 1980s. During that period of time
the SSA (then SSAB) had card circuits circulating all around the world,
but after losing a couple in Australia and almost losing some in the UK
that effort was canceled.
Since stereo cards, as a medium of stereographic expression, are now in
the middle of their 2d century I think it is accurate to say that they
have a certain charm that is constantly being rediscovered by new
generations of stereographers. Witness the rebirth of APEC and the many
PSA Stereo Card Exhibitions.!!!!
And you can be a part of this new ISU Card Circuit! The chairman of the
circuit is Walter Dubronner, of Ubstad-Weiher Germany, a very
enthusiastic card maker. If you would like more information please
contact Walter at Dubronner@xxxxxxx
..
The ISU Card Circuit will operate almost like the card circuits of SSA,
except there will be no voting on the best cards. The voting card
undergoes a name change and will be called a tracking card as this card
circuit is not competitive, but is a fun and learning vehicle
See you in the folios!!
