P3D Stereo Cards - Mounting Medium?

I thought I would pull this thread one more time, before it fades away
for a period of time.

Bruce Springsteen wrote about the possibility of using wheat paste. I
tried this method, making my wheat past from the recipe that is in a
earlier issue of Stereo World. WHAT A MESS!!!. I think the key to
mounting stereo prints by this method is to find an EXTREMELY THIN (I
mean really thin) fiber based enlarging paper and some sort of roller to
put the finished card thru, while it is still damp. I think this is the
way it used to be done commercially and
when properly done there is a reaction between the mount and the
enlarging paper that makes a good bond. The only practical use I have
found for wheat paste is to repair damaged stereo cards and this works
quite well

Good luck Bruce, but leave plenty of room to clean up the Mess.
