Sure, I can come up with a number of ways to promote 3D. First, a new
3D camera, disposable of course. Then a one-hour processing and
printing/mounting system (okay, two hours). Next, a viewer with each
roll processed. And, lastly, a large advertising campaign showing
scantily clad athletes using their 3D cameras during coed events and
later viewing the day's antics at the beer blast.

IMHO, the new disposable lenticular cameras are today's 3D movement.
And most of the "features" of this camera fit into the lifestyle of
today, quick, disposable and different. I fully believe more people
would try 3D if the processing of these cameras was quicker.

What would REALLY be great for 3D would be a two lens disposable camera
which would take standard 8p photos, encoding them with a "L" and "R" so
there would be no mistaking which was which. Added to that them would
be special photo album pages which would properly align the 4x6 photos
for over/under viewing and an inexpensive (disposable, foldable, etc...)
over/under viewer. That way, a person could take the camera to their
favorite 1 hour processor for processing. There would be no need for
special setups or special handling instructions. And, the prints or
slides could be viewed in 2D as well as 3D if necessary.
