P3D Digital camera shots into slides?

I'm wondering if shots taken from a quality digital camera could be 
converted into Realist format slides. Trying to convert prints into 
transparencies would probably be a lost cause because they'd probably 
look awful; but Digital shots which never touch film... I wonder...
