I suspect the 'ol 25.4 rule (above) probably works similarly to 
the 'ol 30.0 rule.  

Of course, I've heard of some using the 'ol 20 rule, so maybe 
the metric-rule is a compromise SWAG.

P.S. - If you have a digital camera you can experiment with things along
       these lines to see what you like, then take the "real" picture
       later.  What little experiementing I've done that way was using
       the " 'ol 30.0 rule", and seemed to work fine.
