P3D More Richmond NSA Coverage

In another post, Mark Shields asks, "And nobody has said--how
many attended the convention?"

Well, the media reported three thousanddd! It seems they
got mixed up with how many actually did attend. They were told
there were 3000 members in the NSA, and they thought that's
how many came! Of course that is not true but it was a big
turnout nonetheless. I don't know the official figures, in any
case if you include the town of Richmond it more than a few
hundred thousand. It seems to be a 3-D kind of town!

Whenever they saw us with those funny cameras, the people showed
a genuine interest in what we call 3-D. At the midnite showing
of "Dial M for Murder", the locals were even wearing their
polaroid glasses outside the Byrd theatre, and it wasn't even
sunny! :-)

The convention was well represented by the local media. In
Wednesday's Richmond newspaper they had almost a full page spread
on the event. On Saturday, the local NBC affiliate television
station covered it. Bill Walton among other notable NSA members
were interviewed. I got caught in the crossfire ;-) and got my
15 seconds of fame, or rather as I liken it (after watching the
broadcast), my 5 seconds of shame! ;-)

This brings me to all this talk on P3D about how I look! Sorry
Bruce, but I think stereo self-portraits are definitely out of
the picture for me now. I don't think I can live up to the
advance billing!!! Seriously speaking, I was impressed with
all the very nice and beautiful people (inside and out) at the
convention.
