P3D Full colour from two

>Anaglyph dogma cannot change the fact that no two colors combine to make
>the full spectrum.
Edwin H. Land disproved that. The cover of the May 1959 Scientific
American bears a full color image with the subtitle "Full Color From Red
and White."
I take it that readers of this list ARE familiar with Land's work? He is,
of course, the inventor of polarizing film and, as a result, has
contributed in some small measure to the efforts of the "shooters" on this
list who might on occasion project their stereophotographs on a silver
screen and doubly view them through this film of Land's invention.
But for the skeptics here's a simple test: Take Mr. Land's polarizers out
of your stereo projector and replace them with a red and cyan filter.
Project a number of color stereo slides through these filters (you won't
need a silver screen now). Do you see any additional colors other then red
or green/blue?
Speaking as one who has produced a few "full" color anaglyphs, I can
declare that there certainly should be no such thing as "dogma" when it
comes to this challenging form of stereographic display. But rather,
instead, the continuous pursuit of a perfectibility which is best served
by an open mind.
Sincerely,
Ray '3-D' Zone
