P3D CLUB MEETING

  • From: revchas@xxxxxxxx (c d hotchkiss)
  • Subject: P3D CLUB MEETING

Last Friday evening we held an alfresco meeting of the Rabbit Hash 3D
Photographer's Club. Due to a scheduling error on my part the meeting
was held at the same time as the monthly meeting of the Greater Rabbit
Hash Lady's and Gentlemen's Cigar Aficionado Society. Rudy brought his
vacation pictures to the former, Ed brought an astonishingly expensive,
amazingly tasty Port to the latter.
Since the weather was warm we repaired to the riverbank for the bulk of
both meetings. The evening breeze off the hill helped to disperse the
cigar haze. Projection of Rudy's slides was not possible because our
projector draws more than a thousand watts and the line to the dock
simply can't handle it. But the RH3DPC recently acquired a nice Kodak
viewer and another Realist Red button, so we had four viewers to pass
around.
Other discussions included:
...Finding a new source for Realist prints, since the kid at Winn Dixie
who liked doing them is off to college (he says he wants to be an
engineer, we tried to talk him out of it).
...Tom Deeding's problem with being in denial about that Polaroid color
business. We considered repeating the experiment to prove it to him, but
we decided it was too hot.
...We tried to decide if the Cicco Churchill Maduro or the Natural leaf
Caribbean Round is the better $2.00 cigar.
...Fixing the blame on me for the fact that issue two of the Newsletter
is nearly a year late.
...Assigned club historian Jerry to work on the Price Hill Historical
Society (a suburb of the nearby hamlet of Cincinnati) photo project. The
PHS likes 3D pictures.
...Announced that the Loreo Loan program is still producing Loreo snaps
from far flung places.
....Roy volunteered to come my next riverboat wedding and capture it in
stereo. I like to have pictures of all my weddings, and a (flat) camera
failure prevented me from getting any of the first wedding aboard the
Dottie G.
...It was noted that since Ed's dog goofy was duly elected mayor of
Rabbit Hash the town has prospered. Since it was the election meeting
,several dogs were nominated for our only elective position. They were
eliminated because there were witnesses to their past concupiscence and
we didn't want a Clinton-like scandal. I won by default.

After that things start to get hazy. But we did adjourn to the house
briefly to view the film to tape conversion of my early (flat) film
"Cosnova", which was provided by Doc Burke.
Ed and Bev nearly squashed Buddy with their big Lincoln as they left but
he is ok and nearly everybody else survived as well.
