P3D SSA Stereo Card Exhibition- Secondary Judgings

To promote more interest in stereo cards Secondary Judgings were held
during the two local showings of the Exhibition accepted entries, in
Columbus GA.  These were "fun judgings"  and do not count towards PSA
Star Ratings.  The idea was to increase the audience participation during
the two showings and to give more recognition to the stereographers..  

The Creative Exposures Camera Club rejudged the acceptances on 18 Aug and
The Columbus Artists Guild rejudged the acceptances last evening, 27 Aug
with the following results:

Creative Exposures Camera Club
1st Place -  Among the Colonades - Norman B Patterson
2d Place - Incredible Leaves -  David Lee
3rd Place - Railway Bridge, Glen Morris  -  Stan White

The Columbus Artists Guild
1st Place - Among the Colonades -  Norman B Patterson
2d Place - Incense Coils  - Joan Stenson
3rd Place - Eye of the Tiger - Robert Bloomberg

Ribbons were awarded and will be sent to these folks. 

I put on a Stereo Program for the Camera Club.  One of the highlights was
when a couple brought me their 1957 Stereo Wedding slides, that they had
never seen projected, and I made that a part of the program.  The
Kodachrome slides are only 41 years old but are very faded, maybe due to
how they were stored.   Anyway I projected them (and yes, I did adjust
the projector to make them more viewable) and everyone seemed to enjoy
them, especially the couple involved. 

Start Getting your entries ready for the SSA 4th International Stereo
Card Exhibition which has a closing date sometime during the middle of
June 1999.  Reminders will be posted occasionally.
