P3D Re: Ektagraphic Projectors
I checked with our college AV Technican about hung up slides
in Ektagraphics...they use plenty of them for class rooms and other
presentations.
He says it's probably a lubracation problem or maybe some loose
linkage. In particular there's a bar that rises the slide back out and
with dried up lubracation it doesn't drop all the way down. It's a
fairly complex mechinism but you might be able to get at the assembly
and put some lite lubracation on certain areas.
They also have problems with slides not dropping when the slide
is frayed or bent but I'd guess that's not your problem.
If you don't dare work on it yourself you ought to check
photo-AV dealers & repair shops or maybe give a call to a
local college or school that might employ an AV Tech who
might do some work on the side for you.
I'm sending this message out to everyone as it's not an
unusual problem with anyone using this sort of equipment.
Hope this very general bit of info is of help to you.
