I am doing my 3-D slide shows with 2 E-2 Ektagraphic (Kodak) Carousel
Projectors linked together. All slides are precision glass mounted and
placed in the Transvue 80 Carousel trays. These projectors are
workhorses
and have seen some use.

My problem is this: Lately I've noticed that one of the (stereo pair)
slides is NOT dropping completely when the carousel tray advances. So,
onscreen, I'm getting vertical deviation in the projected images. This
is
not mounting error (I've checked) and is a problem with the slide not
being
allowed to fully drop down.

The problem could be with the Transvue 80 Carousel trays. Try KODAK
EKTAGRAPHIC UNIVERSAL slide trays Model 2 (Cat 144 3266), which have the
word "UNIVERSAL" in raised letters in the center, as they have wider
openings for thick slides (and thinner walls between slides). They are
the only trays that will work on the European made KODAK projectors.
Older U.S. Made Ektagraphics sometimes get eratic in the slide advance
distances causing jams or failure for thick slides to drop all the way
when standard or Transvue 80 slide trays are used,.

In the NSA STEREO THEATER I always use the UNIVERSAL trays and have had
no problems with the thicker glass-mounted slides.
