When I lived in Seattle, Alpha Cine developed for a lower contrast, and
timed their prints for a bluer sky than what Kodak (and other film
manufacturers) recommended. The reason being that there was less light
diffusions from particulate pollutants, and, at that latitude, the angle of
the sun was lower on the horizon, creating a bluer sky than found in L.A.;
which is where they said the film was formulated for.
