I claim prior art. :*) My earlier post about polar graphs is
basically what Tom has implemented. Of course Tom has actually gone
out and done the work. Meanwhile my computer is still dead. When it
is back online I will produce a Postscript version (complete with user
defined parameters) of this calculator so that anyone who wants to can
print their own calculator.

I carry a homemade slide rule (see

with me because it doesn't require batteries, is pretty rugged, is
light weight, and isn't used for anything but photography (so I'm not
likely to have taken it out of my camera bag to balance the check
book, etc.). I can easily make serveral copies, and it's no big deal
if I lose or ruin one.
