Yes, Paul, thanks!  Obviously I had in mind the stereo cameras from
the 50s with the 35 mm lenses.  Most stereo cameras have lenses 
around 35 mm.  My recommendation to focus at 15-20 ft. is for these
cameras.  Usually longer lenses are used to concentrate on a subject
or detail, not for general stereo photography so the question of where 
to focus becomes a fucntion of the subject, etc.  Do you have a specific
stereo camera or FL lenses in mind?
