Hello all:

I've been reading your dispatches to each other for several days.

Fascinating... a sub-culture of people interested in stereo
photography! I thought that the medium was about dead. I even
sold my Realist and my Heidoscop last year!

You even seem to have enough people to hold conventions

And, you even write about stereo projectors. I didn't know there
were any available... that anyone who still had any stereo pairs,
looked at them with their old, plastic, Kodak, battery operated,
hand-held viewers.

I feel like that guy in Brigadoon!

Sometime in the last several days one of you mentioned that Kodak
still processes stereo pairs. Is this true?

Can anyone tell me where at Kodak I can have my stereo film from
a Graphlex "Stereo Graphic" developed and mounted?

Does Kodak require either Kodachrome or Ektachrome for stereo pairs?

Are there mailers available as there are for other Kodak items?

I haven't used the camera for about 30 years because at that time
the only processing I could find was for Kodacolor... and I couldn't
get anyone to print the resulting negatives. So, for awhile I shot
in Plus-X, printed the negs myself and mounted them on cardboard
to view with my old, old, old wooden viewer.

I also have a Polaroid processor for their instant 35mm film and
I'd like to take some pictures with the Stereo Graphic (SG)...
using the Polaroid film and equipment. Does anyone know which of
the several different mounts available from Reel3D Enterprises
I should order to use with pictures taken with the SG?

Additionally, I just purchased a Pentax stereo attachment and
viewer to use with my Spotmatic. After reading a lot of info from Tom,
George, et all, about a 1/30 rule, I'm beginning to think that
there is a flaw in my plan to use my macro lens with the attachment
to take 3D closeups of flowers, etc. Do I understand you correctly,
that the two images will be taken from lenses, (mirrors) so far apart
that the eye won't be able to see a proper 3D image? If so, am I right
in thinking that this device will only be useful for stereo pictures
taken with a 35-55 mm lens at subjects more than 7 feet away from me?

Are there any other newsgroups, clubs, etc., that I should be aware of,
listening to?

Thanks,

Jim Hemenway
