Okay, first my thoughts start occurring before I place my camera to my
eye. In general, what do I want to capture with this shot. As I look
through the viewfinder I'm thinking "do I have stuff in the foreground
as well as the background (get that tree branch in there!)". As I
depress the shutter button "do I have the subject where I want it in
space (coming near, going away, looking at me, looking away)". And
finally, "did I get the action I wanted or should I take another" and
"is the camera really set at the proper fstop for the scene (not f 5.6
at noon in the sun!).
