Kodak used to advertise that a single 50ft. 8mm roll was enough (about 4
min. @
16f.p.s.) to record the highlights of a weekend outing.

In the hands of someone with a little experience, this was true.

When video came in I told people that if you think a 4 minute home movie
is excruciatingly
dull, just wait until you sit through a 6 hour home video.

I still shoot 8mm, Super 8, 16mm and lately 35mm home movies, even
though I have a 
decent camcorder.
