P3D Checklist

My checklist when I photograph something is basically the same for 2-D
and 3-D, only the application of depth is considered an important
element in 3-D. It goes something like this:

1) Do I like the scene?
2) What *part* of the scene do I like - all, some, little? This
determines what lens I use or if I move towards or away from the
subject, and I choose vertical or horizontal (2-D).
3) Do I like the existing light (i.e., do I want to record as is,
overexpose, underexpose, filter, fill flash, diffuse the light, reflect
some light, etc.)
4) What DOF do I want - tack sharp all the way through or selective
focus?
5) Does it have *adequate* depth for 3-D. (*Adequate* being subjectional
for each photographer)
6) Shoot

This doesn't take as long as it sounds. It gets quicker and easier with
practice.
