Yes it does.  It doesn't make a noise, but it makes a sound.  Sound is
defined in terms of the air vibrations in a particular frequency range,
and that is achieved.  Noise is a particular human perception of 
sound, so without a person to listen to it, "noise" doesn't exist there.

Yes, if the definition of a word is perception based. 

Some of the heated agreements lately have been terminology based
discussions, even if not seen that way.  IMO anyway.  :-)

Calling something "3d photography' is clearly perception based, 
and stereo photography may be as well, but I don't know that so
that's why I asked.  If stereo photography is defined as taking
two simulataneous images some stereobase apart, then there
could be stereo images that appear flat.  If the definition is
perception based (perception of 3D being required) then things
are a bit different when discussing those boundary-case images
that have come up.

I suspect we're all gonna' do that regardless of how these
discussions "turn out".   :-)
