I forgot to add that one to my list of Top 10 Things NOT To Do in 3-D!
I'll have to add that one and call it the Top 11 Things NOT...

11) Don't use a rangefinder. ;-)

Seriously speaking, I use the rangefinder AS A RANGEFINDER and
not necessarily to focus. Even then, most of the time it is not
required since one can judge distances pretty well. But alot of
the shots I take are close indoor scenes with not much distant
background, and in these cases I use the rangefinder exclusively
to focus.
