P3D Realist a P&S?

Hmmm...I just hope my subject doesn't move while I'm waiting for that 
cloud to pass! {:>) IMHO, the "P&S" situations are very limited and it 
is a better idea to know your equipment and be able to quickly and 
accurately change the settings to adapt to the situation, especially 
ones that may change frequently. I feel this would, in fact, yield the 
*better* picture. 

BTW, hyperfocal distance is commonly used in "flat" photography. This is 
where I learned of the term and put it into practice. I have never 
(until now) heard of a stereo photographer refer to it. The manual 
stereo camera has no advantage over a manual single image camera in any 
respect other than it takes two images at once. They can both be pre-set 
exactly the same for a "P&S" situation, including hyperfocal distance.
