P3D Flash question

I use the Vivitar 285HV Thyristor flash. when I use the ROWI adapter on the
standard Stereo Realist it works fine. When I tied to use the same setup on
the Realist 45 it would not work. Can anyone help to make it work or is setup
not for the 45?

I have the Keystone 45B Visual Survey Telebinocular unit but it is lacking the
base. I use a small tripod now but would like the correct base. Anyone there
who can tell me where to purchase the base?
