P3D Qualex processing problems!

know what happened to my film recently when I sent it to Qualex
(Kodalux) for processing. I sent in a roll of Ektachrome 100 (36 exp)
for standard slide processing, non-stereo, and some idiot at the lab ran
my film through the C-41 print processing chemicals.<<<<
I can sympathise with Ron as I have had a couple of rolls (out of
hundreds of rolls and over 20 years) be developed this way. And it was
through different labs! Unfortunately, it happens sometimes. There's no
comfort in that, I know, especially when it's an irreplaceable roll,
such as your vacation pics. We can only try our best to tell the lab
what is in that little envelope as best we can. Always mark film
envelopes as clearly as possible. The only way to prevent this from
happening at all is to develop your own. Personally, I don't have the
time to do that so I am at the mercy of the lab. Hopefully the tech
remembered to wear their glasses or didn't have a fight with their
spouse, or worse - the boss, before processing film!
BTW, my husband had a print made from one of these *mistakes* and won an
award in our local camera club! It's just a form of (unintentional)
experimentation!
