P3D viewer phobia?

hi p3d!! everyone knows the best way to show 3d to the average
person is with a slide viewer!! (small, handy, easy to fuse and provides
a nice, bright, sharp image)! i shoot an rbt x2 and i have several
focusable, franka 2x2" viewers! when i'm out shooting 3d someone almost
always comes up and mentions what an odd looking camera i have!! i
explain it's a 3d camera and ask them if they'd like to see some pics
i've taken with it??? (no one ever says no)! then i whip out one of
the two frankas i always carry in my 3d bag! first, i look at it a
moment to make sure it's focused for 20/20 vision while pointing it at
the brightest light source available! (i think this demonstrates to the
person how to use it without a lot of explaination)! (if there are not
any suitable light sources i also whip out my 4x5" light table)! then i
hand it to them and while they're looking at that one, i get my other
viewer ready to hand them! i explain that the viewer is focusable and
ask if the image is sharp! if the person is wearing glasses i mention
that they could see more of the image at once if they'd take them off
and refocus the viewer! (some do, some don't!) about that time some
folks start looking for the lever to change the image!!! i explain it's
not a viewmaster and that i have another image ready for them to view
and hand them the second viewer! (if there's two people interested i've
already handed them the second viewer and then they trade)! naturally,
i almost always get rave comments!!
ok! here is my question!! i find there is a tendency for folks to not
hold the viewer close enough to thier eyes to see the whole image at
once!!! is there such a thing as viewer phobia??? do some folks do
this because they fear getting an eye disease (pink eye) from the last
person that used this viewer??? i'm very interested in hearing p3d
thoughts on this question!!!
