Great information. I, however, want Kodak to mount my slides. So, I
simply use the phrase Stereo Realist Format, which seems to trigger some
synaptic response in whatever technician handles my film. The results
are that the film gets to the proper facility, developed, mounted and
returned properly (at least so far!).

>From information I've received on this list as well as the time it's
taken for my processing to be returned, I'm pretty sure it goes to the
Dallas lab first and then gets forwarded to the NJ lab. My very first
roll I sent in for processing only took about three or four days. Now,
it takes approximately three weeks. Of course, on my second roll I
questioned why the previous roll only took a few days and this one was
taking a few weeks. The "camera guy" behind the counter simply tapped
the sign that said "slides... 10 working days". That's about the time I
learned that 3d mounting was moved to NJ. Bummer!

BTW, I heartily agree that any measures a person can take to assure that
his/her film is handled and processed as desired should be taken. If
that means taping the envelope or highlighting instructions, then by all
means do it! Better safe than sorry IMHO!
