Perhaps the flash contacts in the Realist are a bit oxidized and have a
slight amount of resistance. The Olympus flash may trigger with a higher
resistance than the Toshiba. You could check this with a multimeter, there
should be a dead short, ie, zero ohms when the shutter is open.
