I beg to differ. This was not the original question asked. the original
question asked by someone was:
"I am trying to install a filter to reduce some of the "chaff" I receive
from the list."
There is a substantial difference. I replied to your personal mesage
with two different notes yesterday, but have not heard a reply... Maybe
you are blocking me??? =) (Isn't this thread getting just as "CHAFFY" as
the other that are a problem? Geez!)

Geroge, relax! Do you REALLY read every word of every message that comes
form this list? Great if you do, but I find I only read one out of 10
completely. If the question is about flash on a Realist, I can't help
because I haven't done it... And, having tried a realist before, and
determining that I will never do stereo slides, it doesn't matter to
me... So, guess what... It gets deleted. (When I am in ACK mode -
skipped when in DIGEST mode.)

There you go.

Thanks.

Agreed taht more than Stereo Photgraphy is disscussed here, but that is
not why everyone is here... If someone else only wants to read about 3D
and decides to filter out notes about my babies health issues, fine...
They ARE taking a rick that I am selling a $2,000 system for $25 to
raise money for bill, but they can "filter" away...

Whoa... The word you left out here is: MAYBE!
Having been on the receiving end of over 200 messages a day during the
3D-CD production, I undersand how hard it is to get through, and
correctly respond to so much mail. Maybe he hasn;t finished cathing up
yet, but has some sort of positive filter to file things that he is
specifically interested in to a special foder, and that is why some new
mail gets responded to...
Personally, I would not be so quick to judge Tom as he is the one who
sent the following to me after hearing of our recent flood, and it's
impact on the 3D-CD project: (Tom, I know you never intended yorr offer
to be here, but I think it is called for.)
"That sounds horrible. I am really sorry you
have such a huge mess on your hands. I had a
friend who lost several hundred albums in a
similar situation. A very forlorn picture.
If you like, I can burn some CDs for you. If
this will help, send a production CD and an
address list to me, and I'll dupe and mail them
for you. All I ask is postage and disk cost."
This is a guy who cares for people, and 3D a great deal... I appreciate
Tom, his offer, and his contributions to P3D. However, I have aslo
deleted a bunch of mail from him recently! ;-)

I am confused... why is this discussion of any less value than the
Spynx's nose, etc? This is a discussion group, about more than stereo by
your own words, so why is this not allowed? =)
