assume this is some kind of festival in the park - (or supercuts has a
really, really big store!)

I looked into my archives of viewing devices and found many samples
called "3-D Fireworks Glasses" Some have other names like "Laser
Shades". Its made up of holographic diffraction foils. Looking at any
light source typical colour diffracting pattern will show up floating in
space around the light source. Guess they will add some good spatial
impression with real fireworks. my samples are at least 7 years old. Any
transparent holographic diffraction foil will do, you just need one for
each eye. Looking at city lights at night, you also get the spectral
content disclosed.
Next, add this spatial impression into your slides. Double exposure
will work if you carefully select some point source lights and estimate
distance to avoid pseudoscopic results when combined with next exposure.
Have fun!
