It served a very useful purpose - as a pressure relief valve. P3D used to get
large numbers of posts from computer 3D enthusiasts complaining that they
were being persecuted. It turned out that there was a lot of pressure,
but not a large volume of steam (figuratively speaking), so the number of
computer posts now is less than the number of "we're being persecuted"
posts back then. But the overall quality of the computer posts has gone
way up.

I think it was Bob who proposed that new group. If he enjoys the extra
work, why should we take it upon ourselves to deny him the pleasure? :-)

Very valuable. And it serves as a starting point for discussions that can
eventually be directed toward the other lists.
