P3D Filters....no really! FILTERS

Last year the Realist camp exchanged ideas regarding the use of filters,
polarizers, special effects etc. I favor low light photography and
filter work on occasion, and have experimented actively with filter
ideas, retrofits and prototypes in an attempt to create a filter system
that is easy to use, reasonably affordable and versatile. I would lke to
share ideas with the group on or off list describing your experiences
with Realist filter experiments. I have also experimented with colored
gels over fill flash applications. I have learned a few formulas since:
filter X 2= $$$$$
cutting glass filter and ruining= $$$$
reflections + abberations= - film $$$$
I recall EMDE mounts and plastic filters held on with rubberbands? Are
these mounts still available? Thanks.  ( sorry to mention filters at
this inappropriate time.....guess the threads just reminded me :-)   )
