P3D ACK/DIGEST and list info

This is my last list administrative massage.  I was asked: "What is
ACK mode? you keep using it and I don't know what it is."

There are two ways to receive this list:

- DIGEST:  You get one package called a digest which is issued daily 
  or when it reaches a certain length.  In days of high activity
  you might get 2-3 in a day.

- ACK:  You get every individual message as it is posted.  Those who
  appear to be replying within the same digest are obviously 
  subscribed in this mode.

We have set subscriptions so that photo-3d is set automatically in
Digest mode and sell-3d is set in ACK mode.  You can always switch
from one mode to another by issuing this command:

SET (listname) MAIL (mode)

where listname is one of the following lists:  photo-3d, sell-3d,
tech-3d, sd-3d, and mode is either digest or ack.

Send the command to listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, not the list!

Don't be afraid to issue these commands.  You are not bothering any
one.  Subscription commands need moderator approval, but these 
commands are executed automatically.

Be careful with ACK mode!  Always check where a message is coming
from.  It might look like it is personal email but might actually
be coming from the list.  Replying to this message automatically
will send the reply to the list (cause of many mispostings in 
sell-3d).
