P3D Up on the roof!

Mattie's story on how she used the stereo camera to bring her children 
safely down from the roof, reminded me of a personal story:

One nice afternoon I was cleaning the gutters at home and had a ladder 
reaching the roof.  Seeing the nice sky, I realized the photographic 
opportunity.  I asked my 6 year old son to climb up in the roof so I 
can take a stereo picture of him.   

At first, he thought this was a fun thing to do.  About midway up the 
ladder he got scared.  "Daddy, I am afraid."... he said.  "Oh, come on 
Tony.  You can do it!".  He started crying.  "No, I am afraid, I want 
to get down!".  I begged him: "You are a brave boy, you can do it... 
Daddy will take a nice picture of you."

Needless to say, he was not convinced, so I climbed up the ladder and 
took him down.

What a contrast!  The good mother, saving her children using stereo 
photography as a trick to relax them.  The irresponsible father, 
putting his children to risk so he can take a stereo picture!!!
