P3D TIPS

>>1. If you could only have one lens, that's it, what would it be. And
then what would your second lens be?

My Leitz Summicron. My other Leitz Summicron...all on M Series equipment.
Occasionally, a Visoflex or the Trusty Hasselblad with an amazing Biogon.

2. I have two Nikon F2's (the newest pieces of camera equipment I own)
and need to get a twin cable release. Do these work well? How good
is the sync?

I do not use twin Nikons, but I have used twin Leitz Minolta CLs.

3. If you shoot prints, do you always do ViewMagic types or have you
ever made any Holmes style cards or other print formats?

Holmes cards yes, ViewMagic..NO WAY! I am not impressed with that
system...my opinion only.

4. And slides. What's better, twin 2x2 or RBT 8 perf mounts?

My preference is for Realist Metal Masks...I disdain the use of twin 2 X 2
Viewers. Second choice would be RBT. They seem to be OK.

5. Can a Rever 22 viewer be made to accomodate 8 perf? What can? (Dr.
T, that's for you)
6. Anything else you have to say is just dandy with me.

Shoot Kodachrome, all the time. Forget fast films....contrary to many, fast
film is not always required, and is used far too much. If possibly, use a
tripod for every photograph you can. Use small apertures and watch your
depth of field. focus with care, and use a light meter. In a pinch, Sunny
16 works well. Do not get caught up in all the technical stuff, thinking
that if you do not figure every factor to the nth degree, you are doomed to
failure. Ignore me...some will confirm I know Diddley Spoof, and learn on
your own. On second thought, listen to me, I have been at this Stereo Stuff
for ages. My pictures might Hoover, but at least they are well exposed,
well focused, well mounted and project well.

Remember...Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach!
