P3D Re: Realist vignetting

Eric Goldstein made a number of good points about the utility of small
apertures, with which I can't really argue. In fact, his reasoning
reflects my own when I bought my (non-vignetting) Wollensack Stereo. And I
really appreciate the extra stops on my modified Hyponar, as the additional
DOF is very helpful in macros. (I had a vignetting KinDar in the past.)
Even so, owners of Realists and Reveres need not kick themselves over their
bad fortune; these are still pretty good cameras that will serve them well
for the majority of situations. It's rare that I shoot my Wollensack
beyond f11.

Tony

P.S. Of course, now I can buy a 3.5 Realist on ebay for as much or more
than I paid for my Wollensack. Economics is a lot harder to understand
than stereoscopy!
