  With a reduced stereo base you get an equal
scaling in all 3 dimensions. The 18mm centre
lens separation is about 1/3.6 of normal stereo
base so object should look 3.6x as big as normal.
But this should be in all 3 dimensions, not just
the Z axis.

  Anyone have an answer for what Tom sees?
