Dr. T commented about his practice of using 'fresh' images for the monthly
photo contest:

George has found out the same thing I have. Only if you consistantly do
the assignments fresh will you take the top honors. In the few years I
have been an officer of the Detroit Stereographic Society, we have had
similar suggestions aimed at forcing members to enter new images,
and not using a vast back catalog of images. I have always voted against
this because I have observed that those who rely on their catalog will
not take the very top honors. We also have members who may not
be able to take as many photographs now as they did in the past, and
as long as they are not re-entering a slide which won previously, I think
that allowing them to enter benefits the club more than excluding them
from competition would. So the bottom line is - you want to win, ya got
to do your homework!
