P3D Sprucing up a Realist

My Realist has served me faithfully all these years (okay it
hasn't been that long but what the hay) and I would like to
reward her, for a job well done. Even though people think
she's ugly, I think she is beautiful but is getting on in age.
I have thought of giving her a facelift but a plastic surgeon
said, "That hunk of metal!?! No Way!" So I have taken it upon
myself to learn some basic cosmetic makeup and give her a new
face or rather new lease on life. So my question is, how do I
make her look beautiful again? :-)
Anyone have any suggestions on what is the best way to touch
up or repaint the metal parts. Regarding the leather, has
anyone ever replaced it and sanded down those bumps. How about
different color paints and leather.
Gabriel
